Pokédex Folders are built for collectors who want to track one card per Pokémon. Instead of logging every variant or duplicate, this folder type focuses on representation: one card per Pokémon number, giving you a clean overview of your coverage.
Creating a Pokédex Folder
- Navigate to the Folders tab.
- Tap the + button.
- Select Pokédex Folder.
- Give your folder a name, pick a color, and choose an icon.
- Start adding cards. Each Pokémon number can only have one card in the folder.
How It Works
Unlike Standard Folders where you can add any card freely, Pokédex Folders enforce a one card per Pokémon number rule. This means:
- If you add a Pikachu card, that Pokémon number is filled.
- You can swap it for a different Pikachu card at any time, but only one can be active.
- Progress is tracked by how many unique Pokémon numbers you've covered and how many of those cards you actually own.
This makes Pokédex Folders ideal for:
- Building a "living Pokédex" of your favourite card for each Pokémon.
- Tracking which Pokémon you own at least one card of.
- Creating curated sets where each Pokémon is represented by your top pick.
Customising Your Folder
Just like other folders, Pokédex Folders can be personalised:
- Name: Give it a clear label like "My Pokédex" or "Gen 1 Favourites".
- Color: Choose from 33 available colors.
- Icon: Pick from 90+ emoji options.
Privacy
By default, folders are public and visible on your profile. You can toggle a folder to private if you prefer to keep it hidden from other collectors.
Good to Know
- There is no card limit on Pokédex Folders.
- You can add the same card to multiple folders. Adding a card to a Pokédex Folder doesn't affect your main collection.
Pokédex Folders give you a focused way to collect. One card, one Pokémon, one clean view of your progress.
