Dex does not currently offer a way to import collection data from other apps, CSV files, spreadsheets, or private lists. There is no file upload or bulk import feature available on any platform.
Why Isn't Import Supported Yet?
Every card in Dex is tied to a specific expansion and variant. When you add a card, Dex matches it to the exact entry in its structured catalog so it can provide accurate stats and collection tracking.
Files exported from other apps use different naming conventions, data formats, and card identifiers. A CSV from one app might label a card as "Pikachu (Holo)" while another uses "Pikachu Holofoil Rare" or a completely different ID system. Automatically matching these entries to the correct Dex catalog records would be unreliable, leading to incorrect cards, missing variants, or duplicate entries in your collection.
We are actively working on making import functionality available, but we can't commit to a specific date at this time.
How Can I Add My Collection?
- Search and add individually: Use the search feature to find cards by name, number, or expansion and add them one at a time
- Browse by expansion: Open any expansion and tap cards to add them, making it easy to log an entire set
- Scan cards: Use the camera scanner to quickly identify and add physical cards to your collection
Can I Export My Collection?
Yes. Dex supports exporting your collection as a CSV file on iOS. You can find this option in Settings > Data > Export Collection. This lets you save a copy of your collection for analysis, sharing, or personal backup. CSV export is a Dex+ feature.
