
If someone in your Apple Family Group has an active Dex+ subscription purchased from an Apple device, other members of the family can access Dex+ without purchasing it again.
- Open Dex on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your avatar at the top navigation bar
- Select Dex+
- Scroll to the bottom of the page.
- Select Restore Purchases.
- Wait a moment while Dex checks for an active family-shared subscription.
- Once detected, Dex+ will unlock automatically.
This only applies to iOS and requires that Family Sharing is properly configured in the App Store settings.
Troubleshooting
- Dex+ didn’t unlock:
Make sure Family Sharing is enabled and that “Share Purchases” is turned on for the family organizer.
- Subscription not appearing:
Confirm that the family organizer is using the Apple ID that originally purchased Dex+.
- Switching Apple IDs:
Restoring only works if the device is logged into the correct Apple ID used for Family Sharing.
